Description
This e-course is an introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint 2010. PowerPoint 2010 is a visual and graphical application, primarily used for creating presentations. With PowerPoint, you can create, view, and present slide shows that combine text, shapes, pictures, graphs, animation, charts, videos, and much more.
You will first get familiar with the PowerPoint 2010 working environment including the Ribbon and the Quick Access Toolbar. You will learn how to add slides with different layouts and learn techniques on how to better organize your presentations by dividing or rearranging them into sections. You'll learn how to easily enter text on slides using placeholders, the outline view and text boxes. You'll also learn how to make your presentations look attractive by applying themes, changing the theme's color and fonts, creating attractive backgrounds, adding pictures, clipart, charts and shapes. Finally, you'll learn how to set up your slide show for delivery including preparing speaker notes, handouts and printing slides.
Pre-Requisites
Be familiar with the keyboard and typing. Knowledge of the Internet, uploading files and operating systems.

- Set up and deliver a presentation including previewing, printing, preparing speaker notes and handouts

Lesson 1 - Introduction to the PowerPoint Working Environment and Working with Slides - Students will learn how to:

- Open, move around in, and close presentation
- Viewing presentations in different ways

Lesson 2 - Working with Slide Text. Students will learn how to:
- Enter text into placeholders
- Create text boxes
- Edit text
- Correct and size text while typing
- Check spelling and choose the best words
- Find and replace text and fonts
Lesson 3 - Format Slides. Students will learn how to:
- Apply design themes
- Use different color and font schemes
- Change the slide background
- Change the look of placeholders
- Change the alignment, spacing, size and look of text
Lesson 4 - Add Simple Visual Enhancements to slides- Students will learn how to:
- Insert pictures and clip art images
- Insert diagrams
- Insert charts
- Draw shapes
- Add transitions
Lesson 5 - Review and Deliver Presentations - Students will learn how to:
- Set up presentations for delivery
- Preview and print presentations
- Prepare speaker notes and handouts
- Finalize presentations
- Deliver presentations
